Located at the base of scenic Mount Si, North Bend Elementary School (NBES) serves approximately 530 students in kindergarten through fifth grade. The school was built in 1962 and went through a major remodel in 1999. It has 23 classrooms within two main buildings and 9 modular classrooms, a library, multi-purpose room, technology lab and full-sized gym with climbing wall. Through the district’s technology initiative, every classroom is equipped with state-of-the-art technology tools for 21st Century learning which includes: interactive white boards, web-based tools, and sets of mobile devices. The school provides a positive and supportive learning environment where four tiers of respect — for learning, others, self and property — guide student behavior.
As we continue to focus on ways to help all children experience success in school and ultimately graduate from high school on time, research continues to point to the importance of attendance at school.
