Welcome to Opstad

Opstad Elementary School (OES) was built in 1988 and is named after Edwin R Opstad, the first superintendent of our district. The school has 25 classrooms plus four modular classrooms for specialty programs. There is a spacious library, computer lab, music lab, art room, gymnasium, multipurpose room with stage, and extra-large interior hallways that are used for supplemental projects and tutoring. Through the district’s technology initiative, classrooms are equipped with state-of-the-art technology tools for 21st Century learning which includes: interactive white boards, web-based tools, and sets of mobile devices. Opstad Elementary offers students in preschool through 5th grade a safe and supportive environment for learning.

  • Foodball, Winter Food Drive

    Mount Si High School is helping to organize Foodball, a winter food drive for our Valley food banks. If you would like to participate, there will be donation boxes at OES in the hall between the library and the office. Please bring canned and non-perishable food items. The final donation pickup will be December 19.

  • Key Clubs Sponsor Toy Drive

    TFMS and MSHS Key Clubs are sponsoring a Toy Drive. If you'd like to donate, please bring a new, unwrapped toy and drop it off in the box between the OES library and office. Donations will be picked up on Wednesday, December 10.

  • PTA Reflections "Deck the Halls"

    Students who have submitted art for the PTA Reflections Art Exhibit, will have artwork on display throughout Opstad's Hallways December 10, 6:00-7:30 PM
