Snoqualmie Elementary School

Program Model

A resource room delivery model is used to support students in reading, written language, math, study skills, and social skills. Most students are served through small group and one-on-one pullout sessions, participating in direct instruction and supervised skills practice, working at their own instructional level, making progress to the best of their ability, and transitioning, when able, into the regular classroom. When appropriate, students are supported in learning and applying academic and social skills in the regular classrooms.

Paraprofessionals

Paraprofessionals at Snoqualmie Elementary have responsibilities for small group and one-to-one instruction at all grade levels. When needed, they also assist students in transitioning to and applying skills in the regular classroom. Instruction includes monitoring student progress, keeping daily data, and communicating student needs, strengths, and weaknesses to the special education teacher.
