Extended Learning Programs

School-based Program:

The school district provides additional resources to every school in the district for extended learning opportunities during the regular school year. This additional funding is targeted at helping students who are not meeting grade level expectations or the state’s essential learnings. Contact each individual school if you would like more information about this school-based program

Summer School Program

The Extended Learning Summer School Program provides classes for all grade levels.  The classes are designed as a credit retrieval opportunity for students at the high school level (for any student who failed a class with a percentage score between 40% and 60%) and remediation help for students at the elementary and middle school levels.

Enrollment is open to any student in the district.

Classes offered are:

  • Grades 9-12
Reading, Language Arts, Mathematics, Earth Science, Biology and Social Studies
  • Kindergarten
A transition class is offered for kindergarten students who need additional skills before going into Grade 1
  • Grades 1-8
    Language Arts and Mathematics
  • Specialized Reading and Math Classes - Grades 2-12
Specialized Reading and Math classes are designed for and would benefit students who are currently enrolled in Special Education classes.

Web Academy

The Web Academy has classes available for grades 7-12. The Snoqualmie Valley School District has set up joint partnership with the Federal Way School District.

This program would benefit students who needed to take a full credit class. (Students who failed a class below 40% or students who wanted to take additional classes either to get ahead or provide flexibility in their high school schedules).
