The
schedule at CVES also allows for a two-hour early release every Friday for
district, school, and staff teamwork to focus on student improvement goals,
curriculum alignment, development of performance assessments, and
professional improvement activities ensure the success of students in meeting
the Washington State Essential Academic Learning Requirements. Cascade View elemenatray School has
developed School Improvement Goals in Math, Writing and Parent Perception. In the areas of math and writing, goals
were determined based upon district-wide levels of performance as CVES did
not have any student achievement data in its first year of operation. The perceptual goal was determined to gain
parent feedback on the operations of CVES in its first year.

Parent
support is very strong at Cascade View Elementary School. With 450+ PTSA members, 1200+ hours per
month in volunteer hours and opportunities to enengage in school processes,
parents play a vital role in CVES's success.
Parents are able to participate in the build's Learning Improvement
Team, Emergency Prepareness Committee and the many fundraising activities
associated with our school. Each
classroom provides parents a survey on their interest in how they serve as a
volunteer in our school. We also have
parents with the support of PTSA help employ a building art docent program. |
