| Who are we? | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Snoqualmie Elementary School is dedicated to providing our students a strong educational foundation for life-long learning. We strive to create a school atmosphere where staff, parents, and students work together to continually improve students' learning. Snoqualmie Elementary School (SES) is located in the historic town of Snoqualmie, Washington. We are one of five elementary schools in the Snoqualmie Valley School District. Our school serves approximately 320 students, preschool through fifth grade. In addition to our 28 classroom teachers, we have certificated support staff, including a .5 librarian, .8 counselor, PE teacher, music teacher, Title I teacher, School Psychologist, Special Education teacher, Speech Language Pathologist, and an Occupational Therapist. We also have classified staff, including instructional assistants, secretaries, cooks, and custodians that provide invaluable support to our teachers and students. Snoqualmie Elementary School was originally built in 1963. There was an addition added in the early 1980's, and a major renovation project in 2000. We have remodeled classrooms, a new library, stage and office, as well as new HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Other special features about our school: | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Our school continually works to improve. We have coordinated our schedule to allow for blocks of uninterrupted instructional time and to allow teacher teams a common time to plan together. Teachers at each grade level work together as a team to coordinate instruction and assessments. Our school survey data indicates that Snoqualmie Elementary School is a warm, inviting school where children feel safe learning and playing. Our assessment data shows continual improvement trends. Our school houses the district Special Education Preschool program. We serve over 45 Special Education and tuition preschool students, ages three through five. We also have an extended day Kindergarten program for qualified Special Education students. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
