| We have several programs in our school to support our students. These include the district Special Education Preschool program, Special Education and Speech services, an English Language Learning program, a Highly Capable program, Title I services, and a counseling program to suport all of our students' needs. Our students participate in Music, Physical Education, and Library on a regular basis. We also have a fifth grade band program. Our school offers students numerous co-curricular activities including peer mediation, lunch intramurals, chess club, battle of the books, art classes and safety patrol. Our students have the opportunity to do community service, Jump Rope for Heart, Punt, Pass & Kick, and the Seattle Kids Marathon. Students also perform in concerts and musicals each year. Our ASB student government program helps develop student leadership skills and involves students in our building. We have four fourth and fifth grade Executive Officers and two Representatives from each third through fifth grade classroom. We recognize positive student effort and behavior through Cougar Grams, monthly Very Important Cougar Awards, and Class of Distinction awards. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
