Each month, Snoqualmie Valley schools take turns showcasing artwork from students in the Board Room at the District Office. In December, student works of art from Mount Si High School were featured.
“The paintings are all acrylic paintings, as opposed to oil paint or watercolor,” explained Mount Si Art Teacher Bryce Meserve. “Some of the works are from our Landscape assignment, where students needed to create three ‘layers’ of depth (foreground, middle ground, background). Some of the works were student choice, but they still needed to utilize the different Elements of Design (line, shape, form, color, value, space, texture).”
