January is School Board Appreciation Month

At the January 26 School Board meeting, students and staff recognized the Board of Directors for their time and service to the Snoqualmie Valley schools. Appreciation was expressed through posters, cards, flowers, goodie bags, student art, certificates of appreciation, and other thoughtful sentiments. Superintendent Joel Aune also read a Proclamation issued by Governor Inslee declaring January as School Board Recognition Month, and then shared his own words of gratitude for their leadership and integrity.
“As Superintendent, I particularly appreciate the thoughtful approach you take in making decisions, and that you consistently base those decisions on what is best for the students who attend our schools,” said Aune. “There is so much to celebrate in our district and our schools, and a good deal of those successes would not be possible without your leadership and your support of those of us who are engaged in the work of creating and sustaining excellent schools…On behalf of the school district and community, we say thank you.”
