Student artwork on display at the District Office in February features “Mount Si in Winter” – created by Fall City Elementary students using oil pastels on construction paper.
“We talked about where we live, the latitude and angle of light and the coloration this time of year and the weather. Also, how to put a mood or feeling into the work. We worked on different techniques using oil pastels,” explained FCES Art Teacher Trese Rand. “I encourage students to look out the window, and share what they see.”
