On Friday, February 10, several community groups came together at Two Rivers School to combine resources and support for students at a “Share the Love” event. A large collection of donated clothing, shoes, and toiletries was on display throughout classrooms and students were encouraged to help themselves to items, free of charge. Free pizza, popcorn and hot chocolate, along with a backdrop for fun portraits, made this a festive Friday afternoon event at the school.
Special thanks to the volunteers and organizations who contributed their time and resources to bring this opportunity to the school. Thanks to the Mount Si Food Bank, SnoValley Homeless Teen Action Group, Trail Youth volunteers, Mount Si PTSA, Weekend Backpack program, Fall City Food Bank, Frankie’s Pizza, Police Officers Kim Stonebraker and Scott Brutton, Photographer Mary Miller, and other generous community members for “sharing the love” with Snoqualmie Valley students.
