At the 2017 State Dance/Drill competition, the Mount Si Dance Team includes (left to right):
Ellie Wood (10th grade), Serena Watters (9th), Camille Ostrem (9th), Emma Eubanks (12th),
Cydney Tse (10th), Morgan Wadsworth (9th), Gracie Stokes (9th), and Clarissa Ricks (10th).

“It has been such a joy to watch the Dance Team grow and progress from their first season last year. In March of 2016 at the end of their first season, the dancers went to State as spectators and set a goal to be competitors at State this year. They kept that goal in mind at every practice, performance, competition, and team gathering this season,” explained Mount Si High School Dance Team Coach Jennifer Stokes.

“Watching them earn statewide recognition for their hard work and growing dance abilities has been a thrill. These dancers have become true 4A competitors with a team that is a fraction of the size of many other teams in their category. Our coaching staff is so proud of them,” added Stokes.

Students interested in joining Mount Si’s Dance Team for next year should attend a Pre-tryout Skills Clinic on April 25, from 3:30-5:30 p.m., at the Freshman Campus. Tryouts for the Dance Team will take place May 1-5, 3:30-5 p.m. at the Freshman Campus gym.

Winning 4th Place at State in the Military category!
Congratulations!
