Board Director Announces Plan to Run for Re-Election
At the April 4 School Board meeting, Tavish MacLean announced his plans to run for re-election to the Snoqualmie Valley School Board this year. MacLean joined the Board in January of 2014, and currently serves as Board vice president.
When announcing his intent to run for a second term, MacLean shared, “I have given a lot of thought to my time on the School Board. I’ve learned a lot, faced some challenges, and enjoyed serving our schools. I would love to continue this work for the next four years to see the many exciting initiatives in place come to fruition for our students.”
Two school board positions will be up for election this year. The four-year terms for Director District 1 (held by Tavish MacLean) and Director District 4 (held by Marci Busby) are set to expire December 31, 2017. Every two years, board positions are up for election. Terms for Director Districts 2, 3 and 5 run through December 2019.
