The Snoqualmie Valley School District, in partnership with Seattle Pacific University, is offering a state approved Professional Certification Program for all employees who currently have a Residency Certificate. As of September 1, 2000, teachers with a Residency Certificate must comply with Washington State requirements for a Professional Certificate. Participants must:
- Take a Pre Assessment Seminar
- Work with a professional growth team
- Develop a comprehensive professional growth plan
- Demonstrate proficiency on 17 criteria
- Finish with a culminating Assessment Seminar
Recognizing the need to support teachers, the Snoqualmie Education Association and the Snoqualmie School District have partnered to offer this program to members of the district free of charge through a reimbursement model.
The school district has also created this on-line teacher portfolio tool to help participants get through the program using an authentic learning process. You can login by clicking the login link at the top of this page.
