District Curriculum Review Committee Information

District Instructional Materials - Review Requirements

  1. Complete a District Instructional Materials Review Packet. Packet can be obtained from the Instructional Services Office or by using the link below.
  2. Request an opportunity to present to the District Curriculum Review Committee.  A date and time slot will be assigned to you for your 15-minute presentation.
  3. Return completed packet and a copy of the proposed instructional materials to the Instructional Services Office at least 20 days prior to the presentation date.  See Screening Guidelines below in the Review Packet for evaluation process. 
  4. For presentation, be prepared to present an overview and answer questions.  Please attach a syllabus for the class if class does not fit within the Snoqualmie Valley School District grade level continuum.  An overhead, VCR, computer, etc. will be available upon request.
  5. If the proposed instructional materials are adopted by the District Curriculum Review Committee and adopted by the school board, a copy of the materials must be provided for the District Curriculum Library.
  6. K-12 adoptions require subject materials review criteria forms completed by the taskforce/committee.
