District Standards
SVSD 410 is standardized on PC’s running Windows XP Professional and Office 2003. We are currently in the planning stages for a migration to Windows 7 in 2010. Some of our minimum specifications are:
- Pentium IV 3.0 Ghz or higher processors with 2 GB of RAM and 17” LCD monitors
- Servers are running Windows 2003 Server or later in a virtual environment and are mostly rack mounted HP Proliant.
- Printers: HP 4000 series and HP 1100 or higher
- Primary Copiers - CopyStar CS-8030's (copy, print and scan)
- Core network - Foundary Fast Iron
- Edge network - SMC and HP switches
- Enterprise Wireless - Aruba Wireless
Software and web resources used district wide are:
- Databases- MS SQL or MS Access
- Spreadsheets- MS Excel
- Presentation- MS PowerPoint
- Word Processing- MS Word
- Desktop Publishing- MS Publisher
- E-mail- MS Outlook
