Shawn Lawrence has been principal of Timber Ridge Elementary School since July, 2022.

In 2019, she joined the staff of Snoqualmie Middle School as Assistant Principal, helping to reopen SMS.  Prior to that, Mrs Lawrence served the Snoqualmie Valley School District as K-12 Literacy Coordinator, ELA & SS Content Specialist, and teacher at both Chief Kanim and Twin Falls middle schools.  

Mrs Lawrence has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies at the University of Washington, a Teacher’s Certificate from Seattle Pacific University, National Board Certification in Early Adolescence/Social Studies-History, and a Master of Science degree in Educational Leadership from Western Governors University. 

She is the proud mother of two sons, and currently lives in North Bend with her husband and their labrador, Eddy.  

Hello TRES Wolf Families,

I grew up in California, not far from San Francisco.  I graduated from Palo Alto High School and went on Tulane University where I majored in Psychology.  I then attended the University of Kentucky, where I earned a Master’s Degree in Education and an Educational Specialist Degree in School Psychology.  I have served public schools in Kentucky, California, and Washington as a School Psychologist, School Counselor, Behavior Specialist, Program Developer and Special Education Supervisor.  Prior to coming to SVSD, I worked for the Bellevue School District for 12 years in various roles.  I graduated from the Principal Certification Program through the City University of Seattle in 2021. 

My wife, Mary, and I have lived in Fall City for 11 years and we love the Snoqualmie Valley community.  Mary is a chef who teaches cooking classes to children and adults.  We have seven children (six boys and one girl).  We enjoy baseball, hiking, camping and car racing. 

I am honored to serve as the Assistant Principal here at Timber Ridge.
