Mount Si FFA Students Shine at State Fairs

Congratulations to our Mount Si High School Future Farmers of America (FFA) student leaders! Our students competed at the 2022 Washington State Fair in Puyallup this month and at the Evergreen State Fair in Monroe in August.
Most recently, at the Washington State Fair in Puyallup, 11 Mount Si FFA members competed in the Livestock and Dairy Judging contests on Saturday, September 17. This competition tests the reasoning and knowledge skills of members. They had a great time and some first-time participants did very well! See their results below.
Washington State Fair, Puyallup, 2022 Results:
Livestock Judging (out of 34 teams)
Mount Si 1 – 3rd place; Mount Si 2 – 17th place; Mount Si 3 – 24th place
Livestock Judging Individual: 3rd place, James Graham
Dairy Judging (out of 21 teams):
Mount Si 1 – 5th place, Mount Si 2 – 12th place, Mount Si 3 – 17th place
Dairy Judging Individual: 7th place, James Graham

Also, Lorelai Justice exhibited her two Nubian goats, Boots and Lucy, for the first time, earning blue ribbons in Showmanship and Reserve Champion Nubian!
At the Evergreen State Fair in Monroe, students exhibited their projects from August 24-28, 2022, with many competing in multiple areas. Each student worked hard, and their efforts paid off as they were awarded various ribbons and accolades. The full results are listed below the photo.
