Mount Si Choir students should be very proud of their achievements at two music festivals and choir competitions over the past month!
On March 25, the Jazz Choirs participated in the Commencement Bay Jazz Festival at Fife High School, where La Voix (Vocal Jazz 2) earned second place in their division and Noteworthy (Vocal Jazz 1) was awarded first place in their division.
Also, Mount Si choirs gave outstanding performances last weekend at the Columbia Basin College (CBC) Choral Unlimited Festival in Pasco. On April 21, the Camerata choir took second place in their division, and Bel Canto took first place! Then Mount Si’s Noteworthy and La Voix choirs competed on April 22 and they each won first place in their respective divisions. In addition to those division awards, Mount Si High School was also awarded “Outstanding Department,” which is a best-overall distinction!
“We are so proud of our students and the commitment and effort they have demonstrated all year. Their hard work and dedication have allowed them to achieve an outstanding level of musical excellence and we are glad to see their accomplishments recognized at these competitions!” shared Mount Si Choir Directors Haley Isaacs and Becca Woodbury.
