• Meet Ms. Rosendale

My name is Jillian Rosendale and I currently teach 2nd grade. This year will be my 8th year here at Fall City Elementary and I love it more with each passing year. The community is so supportive and warm and creates a most successful teaching and learning atmosphere.

Prior to teaching here in Fall City, I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Washington State University (go Cougs!). I then went on to receive my Master’s degree in Integrating Arts from Lesley University.  Currently, I live in Seattle with my husband, who is also a teacher in the Snoqualmie Valley School District.

I think 2nd grade is the most wonderful year and absolutely love it. I truly see it as an opportunity for the children to gain confidence, explore, extend and grow more independent using the skills learned in 1st grade. I am a Math/Science enthusiast! I have always enjoyed all subject areas, but during my time here at FCES I have been exploring new ways to help students appreciate a love for math and science.

I am one-half of a unique teaching situation. For the last 5 years, I have team taught with Mrs. Sydney Mullock. Mrs. Mullock teaches Reading and Writing and I teach Math, Science and Social studies. We will be team teaching again this school year. It is a fantastic opportunity for the students and I have received nothing but positive results and success from our instructional model. I look forward to going into more detail about our team teaching at our Curriculum Night, however the basic idea is that your child will get two teachers for the price of one! 

We are looking forward to another great year!
