     Meet Mrs. Buck

    Dear Families,

Welcome! I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you as your child’s 2nd Grade teacher. I am excited to get the year underway and look forward to getting to know you and your child.

I would like to take a moment to tell you a little about myself. I hold both a Master's degree in Education and a Washington State teaching certificate. This is my fourteenth year teaching and my ninth year at Cascade View. I live in Snoqualmie and have been married 26 years to my husband Brian. We have three wonderful children. Our son Riley finished college at Northern Arizona University. Our middle daughter Camryn is a Senior at Hawaii Pacific University where she is playing soccer. Our youngest daughter Joelle is a Senior at Mount Si High School and plays soccer and basketball. With our kids being in different schools they keep us busy with their love of sports and activities!!

Teaching is more to me than just a job and is a commitment I take very seriously. My mission as a teacher is to instill in my students a lifelong love of learning. I want all of my students to believe in themselves and reach their highest potential. I hold high expectations for my students in the areas of academics, behavior, and peer interactions.

Education is a partnership between the students, teachers, parents, and the school community as a whole. I believe good communication between school and home is vital to the success of students. To ensure this, I will set up a classroom website, send out e-mail information, and update our school’s website as necessary to keep you well informed. I also encourage you to contact me with any concerns or questions you may have throughout the year. I can be reached by e-mail at buckj2@svsd410.org. Together, we can make this a successful year for your children!

    Fondest regards,

    Julie Buck
