Principal's Corner

    Dear Fall City Families,

It is with mixed emotions that I share this letter with you today.  This school year will be the last year I serve as the principal of Fall City Elementary.  It has been an absolute honor to serve our school community for the last six years and is an opportunity that I will never forget.

Fall City Elementary is a special place.  The love and support from our students, staff, families, and community members is felt by anyone who spends time walking through the halls and engaging in conversation with others.  We are lucky to have a strong, inclusive community that focuses on what is best for the students and how to collectively work together to remove barriers to help all students grow, not only academically, but as a whole.

Our students are passionate, empathetic, and dedicated learners, who step up as leaders and think innovatively to solve problems.  They work together to soar to new heights and spread kindness to others.  Our staff are relentless in their work to do what is best for students and our families are dedicated to partnering with the school and staying involved in their child’s educational journey.

We have been through a lot, the last three years in particular, and I commend our students, staff, and families for sticking together and preserving through the challenging times.  A recent highlight of my year was interacting with many of you at the Science Fair just last week.  The smiles and excitement from our students and the involvement of our parents and school community was radiating through the halls and outside.  Thank you!

At the conclusion of this school year, I will transition to the role of the principal at Cascade View Elementary School on Snoqualmie Ridge.  I am excited for this new opportunity and look forward to forming strong relationships with the Cub community, while continuing to utilize my leadership skills as an administrator within the Snoqualmie Valley School District.  Cascade View Elementary is another phenomenal elementary school in our district with a special community I plan to serve for the coming years.

Thank you for your trust, kindness, and support during my time as the principal at FCES.  I welcome emails and the opportunity to stay in touch - to celebrate your child’s accomplishments and successes in the years to come.  Please remind your Falcon(s) that they are smart and capable of whatever they set their minds to, and that I will always believe in them.

I look forward to a strong end to the year and am committed to partnering with the incoming principal to ensure there is a smooth transition for all.  Our district office will be sharing information with you about the hiring process in the coming days.  To begin, our school district is interested in your feedback. Your input will help ensure that we select a principal that will value the important traditions at Fall City Elementary School and provide leadership that will enable continued growth. This survey will be open until 4:00 pm on Friday, May 13th.  I am confident Fall City Elementary will be in good hands.
