Hello, and welcome to Kindergarten at Opstad Elementary!   I am Wendy Harrison.  My husband, Chuck, and I have lived in the Snoqualmie Valley for 15 years and have 4 sons.  From left to right, our sons are Quaid, Maddox, Duncan and Gunnar. Quaid is going into 8th grade at Twin Falls and Maddox will be a junior at Mount Si this year.  Duncan lives and works in Bellevue and Gunnar lives and works in Vancouver, Wa.

                                                        Mrs. Harrison in kindergarten.
I grew up in an Army family and moved many times.  I began my school career as a kindergartener, in Fort Ord, California.  I also went to elementary schools in Germany and Virginia.  I began middle school in Virginia and then moved to Japan.  I began high school in Japan and then we moved once more.  I graduated from Livorno American High School in Italy. I attended the University of Idaho and graduated with a B.S. in Elementary Education in 1994.  I received my Master's Degree in Learning and Technology from Western Governors University in 2013.  I became a National Board Certified Teacher in 2017.

I began teaching in New Mexico, working with 5th grade and then 2nd grade.  In Texas, I taught preschool and Kindergarten.  I taught Kindergarten at Fall City Elementary before coming to 2nd grade at Opstad and then coming back to K.  I am very excited to be here and to be teaching Kindergarten!  Thank you for sharing your children with me.

    See you soon!
