• This course is designed to prepare students for success with math concepts and skills and understanding of financial strategies and appropriate applications. We will focus on concepts, skills, and problem solving in the following areas: Math Skills (number sense, basic mathematical functions, linear functions, solve equations and inequalities, graphs, statistics, estimation, and problem solving strategies). Personal finance (gross and net income, taxes, budgets, recordkeeping, banking, checking and savings accounts, cash purchases, charge accounts and credit cards, loans, interest rates, vehicle transportation, housing costs, Washington State landlord tenant law, insurance, banking finance, federal reserve system, identity theft and investments).

    Credit - up to 1.0 credit in CTE or Math (with parent permission)
