• Cooking is a course in which students will learn kitchen safety, recipe reading, measuring, and a variety of cooking techniques. You will plan and prepare meals for yourself and other class members. Cultural Cuisine, healthy food choices, menu planning, nutrition, and food preparation techniques are all covered topics. You will have the opportunity to earn your Washington State Food workers Card during this course.

    Credit - .5 to 1.0 credit toward CTE or Elective
