Hi Fellow Readers, I am Mrs. Handy. I am one of the lucky people who gets to be the librarian at Fall City Elementary school!
I graduated from WSU (Go Cougs!) and worked at fun places like the Woodland Park Zoo and Pacific Science Center. I am married and have THREE boys! Can you say sports? The older two have graduated from Mt Si. When my oldest son was in kindergarten, I started teaching science in school and I soon realized my favorite part was reading with the children. This love of reading and kids led naturally to the library where I've been ever since. I have an endorsement in Library Science. I love to travel, ski, jog, cook and, of course, READ!
Laurie Shepherd
Hi -I am Laurie Shepherd. I have been a 4th grade teacher here at Fall City Elementary School for the past 12 years and, the last 6 years, have been teaching in the Library! I teach library classes on Wednesdays and Thursdays. I love books and I love reading!
This year I am teaching teambuilding and engineering in the library on Fridays; it's called THE NEST and it is so much fun!
It's going to be a great year of learning and growing!
