District Strategic Plan
-
The Snoqualmie Valley School District and Board of Directors have worked to develop a multi-year Strategic Plan, which is intended to be a working document. This plan is revisited each year to update district priorities, and is monitored on a regular basis throughout the school year. The current plan, approved by the School Board, focuses on goals and objectives for the 2022-23 school year.As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, the Strategic Plan serves as a guide map to assist us in prioritizing and aligning our efforts and resources to fulfill the district’s mission — which is to prepare all Snoqualmie Valley students for college, career and citizenship.
-
Developing, Implementing and Evaluating the Strategic Plan:
- The Strategic Plan was originally developed with a process that involved the School Board working to define the district’s vision, mission and overarching goals. District leadership then solicited feedback from staff and student perception surveys, researched school performance data, and considered other community engagement activities, to identify key areas of focus. They created a draft action plan that proposed key priorities and opportunities for improvement for the upcoming school year, and presented the plan to staff, parents and the community for additional feedback and fine-tuning. The School Board ultimately took action to approve the plan.
- Implementation of the District’s Strategic Plan is monitored throughout the school year with regular updates to the Board of Directors that articulate progress toward the goals outlined in the plan.
- At the end of each school year, the plan is re-evaluated and updated to reflect the highest priorities of the next school year.
