Initial Elementary Attendance Boundary OptionsUpdated 9/30/2015Please carefully review each of the elementary attendance boundary options, currently under consideration for the 2016-17 school year. For each option there is a PDF map (that can be enlarged), a brief description of some of the areas impacted by the change, and a table with projected classroom availability at each school for the next three years. After reviewing all the options please use the link to Survey #1 at the bottom of the page to provide feedback. The Elementary Boundary Review committee will use this feedback to determine a "short list" of options to further study and present at community meetings on October 20th and 21st and via the website. Note that additional scenarios may be generated based on feedback from the community. To enlarge the maps below, click on the image and zoom in using the "+" button in your browser. Or, save the map as a PDF and use Adobe Acrobat Reader to zoom in on the maps. Either option should allow a viewer to enlarge the maps enough to view street names.Regarding the capacity projection tables below, a "0" indicates that a school is essentially at its anticipated program capacity. Unused classrooms may be utilized for district programs such as the Parent Partnership Program or other needs.Option A

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Middle School "Feeder" Opportunity: All five options above support a consistent future middle school "feeder" pattern. In the fall of 2019, the District will return to three middle schools; the Freshman Campus will be converted back into Snoqualmie Middle School when the new Mount Si High School opens. At that time, all of the options above will allow for two elementary schools to "feed" into one middle school. The Elementary Boundary Review committee has been studying this topic and is likely to recommend to the School Board the following, beginning in the fall of 2019:- Elem 6 and FCES students to attend Chief Kanim Middle School (CKMS)
- OES and NBES students to attend Twin Falls Middle School (TFMS)
- SES and CVES students to attend Snoqualmie Middle School (SMS)
Share your feedback: Survey #1 closed on Wednesday, October 7, at noon. Based on feedback received, the committee will be providing another update online with a short list of preferred options and another survey to gather feedback. Watch for an update to be posted the week of October 12.
