It's the 3rd Day of 3rd Grade, and what a fantastic three days it has been!  Getting to know each other was our top priority, and we managed to have a lot of fun along the way!

The highlights of our first week included two team building activities with a focus on communication and problem solving.  We stacked cups using a rubberband and string to move the cups; all four team members really had to work together to make it happen!

I also challenged teams to reconstruct a pattern block shape with some tough limitations.  Ask your child if he/she was a spy or a builder!  It was so fun to see how they creatively communicated without talking!

In addition to all the team building, we reviewed some math skills from 2nd grade, started a read aloud called "Third Grade Angels" by Jerry Spinelli, and completed our first SCOOT activity! We've also been working really hard to build routines and learn expectations.  It's been a pleasure getting to know your children, and I am looking forward to the year ahead!

    Peace. Love. 3rd Grade!
