• Technology 2 - Geared toward 7th grade students going a little further into the use of media. Students will develop their skills in Photography while learning new skills in video.  Students will learn to use Adobe Premiere Pro to edit movies.  Projects require more work and technology use.  Offer 2 class periods.

    #1 Photography and Premiere Pro Introduction - Students will take photographs following a criteria list.  They will work on colors, different effects, etc. Some photos will be edited or enhanced using Photoshop or other photo programs.  Photos will be compiled using Adobe Premiere Pro or Adobe Spark to create a presentation. Elements will be chosen through an activity menu.

    1.1.1 Integration - Generate ideas and create original works for personal and group expression using a variety of digital tools.

    2.3.1 - Digital Citizenship - Select and use common applications.  Use different  multimedia software.

    2.4.1 - Digital Citizenship - Recognize similarities between applications and transfer skills between programs.

    #2 Digital Photoshop - This project includes creating composite digital images by altering a photos taken by the students as well as images found through Internet search to fit with one of the elements attached to this assignment.  Each photo will have a different element attached to it.  Photos will be saved as JPEGs and turned in.  Elements will be chosen through an activity menu.

    #3 Video/Photography Project - Students will create a 1-2 minute maximum video.  They will watch example videos and evaluate them, then, write their own script, create a storyboard and record. Students can use Photoshop or another drawing program to illustrate, create titles or other elements. Video will be edited using Adobe Premiere Pro.

    2.2.2 Digital Citizenship - Maintain and use digital equipment effectively.

    2.3.1 - Digital Citizenship - Select and use common applications.  Use different  multimedia software.

    Digital Project Showcase - All student projects will be compiled into a showcase/display for other students, teachers, parents to view.

    All Projects:

    2.1.1 Digital Citizenship - Practice personal safety, understand passwords, privacy and anonymity.\

    2.1.2 Digital Citizenship -Practice ethical and respectful behavior.  Identify and cite Creative Commons images in online presentations. Cite sources properly.

    2.2.1 Digital Citizenship - Develop skills to use technology effectively.  Save or backup information to appropriate location, organize and manage files and folders between school, home and online.

    2.3.2 Digital Citizenship - Select and use online applications.  Use interactive online tools to comment, link, post and embed information (e.g. Google Classroom), communicate with teachers and peers.
