SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION
-
Searching for scholarships is a student-directed activity that requires planning, committment, and persistence. The best place for students to search for scholarships is online. Our advice to students:
- Look for free search engines with personalized searches based on your qualifications. See below for examples.
- Avoid websites that charge fees or promise excessive unclaimed scholarships; they are usually scams.
- Check college websites or talk to college admissions counselors for college-specific scholarships.
- Join the Career Center Schoology Group to view scholarships mailed or emailed to MSHS. Scholarships are posted when received to the Scholarship List in resources.
- Apply for Local Scholarships through MSHS. Information about local scholarships will be provided during a Senior Meeting held at the end of February and then posted on this website.
- Access scholarship advice from the US Department of Education here: https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/types/grants-scholarships/finding-scholarships.

WUE - Western Undergraduate Exchange
Residents of Washington state can apply for reduced out of state tuition (150% of resident tuition) at over 150 two-year and four-year member schools in 16 Western states and US territories.
ROTC Scholarship
The Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) is a college program offered at more than 1,700 colleges and universities across the United States that prepares young adults to become officers in the U.S. Military. In exchange for a paid college education and a guaranteed post-college career, participants, or cadets, commit to serve in the Military after graduation. Each Service branch has its own take on ROTC.
