4TH GRADE MUSICAL
“Rockin’ the 50’s”
Thursday, March 5th, 2020 6:30pm
Skit auditions are complete! Actors were announced today at lunch. Students who have speaking parts, solos and song leaders should have gotten a paper home today with their parts. It is my hope that students will practice over the break, memorizing their lines and songs! Singers and soloists should practice with the recordings I have on this website!
SWING DANCERS: There are no auditions for swing dancers; they just let me know if they want to do it! Dancers are required to wear 50’s style attire and will be featured on two songs.
Concert Dress for all others: not required but highly encouraged!
Girls: Poodle skirts, pony tails and scarves, crop pants, button-up blouses, saddle shoes, “Cat”rimmed glasses, leather jackets/pink lady jackets, anything sparkly
Boys: Jeans with cuffs rolled up, white T-shirt, leather or jean jackets, thick black glasses, slicked-back hair, boots, white shirt and tie
When to be there:
Students will meet in their classrooms at 6:20pm. Families can come earlier to find a seat but students will not go to their classrooms until 6:20. Parents, please keep their coats with you in the audience, as students will not be able to return to their classrooms after the concert.
Here is the list of song leaders and their assigned songs. Students who opted for a solo are indicated in the song.
