Learning does not stop in the summer! This summer, the Mount Si High School German Club traveled to Germany. Fifteen students visited their partner school in Germany for 2.5 weeks and immersed themselves in the culture of another country as part of the German exchange program.
Students had field trips to Berlin, Hamburg, and Bremen. All the students stayed with host families and stayed very busy. They spent time visiting a German high school, worked on projects with German students on topics such as cultural identity and the climate, and gave a presentation about life in the US. They even taught cheerleading and football to younger kids.
The students returned home and are now resting and looking forward to hosting their partners in the fall when the students from the German school will come to Mount Si for a return visit!
