School Board Elections
This November, three of the five Snoqualmie Valley School Board seats will be up for election – board positions 2, 3, and 5. Members of our School Board serve four-year terms. Although each director resides in a specific area of the district, each is elected by and represents the district at large. Together, SVSD Directors make decisions that apply to all Snoqualmie Valley public schools and students. The Board schedules approximately 22 regular meetings throughout the school year, with additional meetings scheduled to study specific issues.
Individuals who want to run for one of the seats up for election must file with King County Elections between May 15-19, 2023. An individual must be a registered voter living in the specific district director area to run. Please use our interactive District Director locator map to determine if you are eligible to run for board positions 2, 3, or 5. If more than two people file for a single position, a primary election will occur in August.
For more information, see the King County Elections candidate page, Washington Secretary of State candidate page and the Washington State School Directors' Association webpage.
If you have any questions about the process or positions, please get in touch with the Executive Assistant to the Superintendent, Christi Wright.
