The Snoqualmie Valley School District is committed to supporting every student in developing strong math skills by offering a variety of rigorous and flexible pathways. Recognizing that students progress at different paces and have diverse learning needs and goals, the district’s math program is thoughtfully designed to provide multiple entry points and trajectories that ensure access to high-quality math instruction.

Explanation of Pathways
- Students who are in Pathway A are students who receive specially designed instruction in Math per their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
- Students who pursue Pathway B through middle school and then continue through Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2/Applied Algebra 2 in high school will have the opportunity to complete all graduation requirements plus Pre-Calculus/AP Pre-Calculus and/or Financial Algebra while in high school and will be ready to pursue college-level math courses after graduation.
- Students who meet requirements for and pursue Pathway C through middle school and complete Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus/AP Pre-Calculus in high school will complete all graduation requirements, be college-ready and will have an opportunity to complete at least one additional math course such as Calculus/AP Calculus AB and/or AP Statistics and/or Financial Algebra.
- For those students who qualify for or progress into Pathway D through middle school and complete Calculus or AP Calculus AB in high school will complete all graduation requirements, be college-ready and will have an opportunity to complete at least one additional higher level math course such as AP Calculus BC and/or AP Statistics and/or Financial Algebra.
