Transition Learning Center

The Transition Learning Center (TLC) is part of the continuum of special education services provided by SVSD. TLC serves students with disabilities aged 18 to 21 years and who are supported with an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). The program prepares students for post-secondary living by providing instructional, social, leisure, recreational, and community experiences. Participation at TLC is determined on an individual basis by the IEP team.

Throughout the school year, students get valuable experiences at various community partners.  A few examples over the last three years include:

  • ACE Hardware
  • Camp Waskowitz
  • Chamber of Commerce
  • Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank
  • North Bend Elementary School (front office staff & classroom support)
  • North Bend Theatre
  • Pet Place Market
  • Salish Lodge & Spa
  • Mt Si Senior Center
  • Si View Community Center
  • Trail Youth Coffee Home
  • Northwest Railway Museum
  • YMCA
