ELC Ribbon Cutting

It’s official — our new Early Learning Center (ELC) is open for service! A ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the special occasion before welcoming students to the first day of preschool Sept. 2.

Excitement is building as we enter the final stretch of construction at the new Early Learning Center!

The construction of our new Early Learning Center (ELC) is moving quickly, and we're thrilled with the progress as we prepare to welcome students this fall. Sitework is wrapping up, with concrete walkways receiving final touches through June 20, and perimeter fencing installation beginning June 23 to secure the outdoor spaces.

The transformation continues—and this week, our new covered playground area is taking center stage! Each detail is bringing us closer to a space where our youngest learners can play, explore, and grow—rain or shine.

Our crew is moving at full throttle to reach each milestone—check out the latest progress as we build the future of our Early Learning Center:

Exciting progress is unfolding at our Early Learning Center site! Over the past week, crews completed installation of all stormwater drainpipes and finished excavation for the upcoming retention structure—meaning the site is ready to handle a splash of spring showers. Foundations have been poured and final grading is backfilled, setting everything firmly on solid ground.

The Snoqualmie Valley School District has officially broken ground on a brand-new Early Learning Center (ELC)—a dedicated facility that will become the permanent home for our preschool programs. This exciting project underscores our district’s commitment to providing a strong educational foundation for our youngest learners in a space designed specifically to support early childhood development.
