Community Agency Resource Fair
Snoqualmie Valley School District staff — including counselors, nurses, social workers, mental health providers, and others — were invited to a special Community Agency Resource Fair on Friday, January 10, from 1-3 p.m. in the Mount Si High School library. This activity took place on one of our early release Friday afternoons designated for staff professional development. SVSD staff who focus on student well-being had the opportunity to meet some new community partners, forge working relationships and explore collaboration. Attendees now have a clearer understanding of local services available to students and families, and who to contact at the respective organizations.
Thanks to the many participating community agencies (listed alphabetically): Care Point, Charlie Health, DBT Eastside, Empower Youth Network, Encompass NW, Friends of Youth, Lambert House, Parents of Adolescents and Teens Program Outreach, Public Health of Seattle & King County, Reclaim, Safe Place, Snovalley Pride, Supportive Community for All, Ultimate Vision, and United Way Tax Prep.
Also, a special shout-out to SVSD Social Worker Lindsey McFerran who coordinated the fair. Hopefully, staff came away with stronger connections and additional resources to support our thriving school community.
