MSHS Students Shine at 60 Hour Film Festival
The 2024-25 Cascade Cinema 60 Hour Challenge brought together student filmmakers from Mount Si, Newport, Tahoma, and Lake Washington High Schools for an exhilarating weekend of creativity and collaboration. Over the course of just 60 hours, 13 teams crafted original short films, embracing the challenge prompts and putting their storytelling skills to the test.
On February 2, the student-produced films premiered at the North Bend Theatre, where audiences and judges cast their votes for top honors. A huge thank you to North Bend Theatre and Britni and Lucas Larson for hosting this incredible event and supporting student filmmakers!

With students racing against the clock to script, shoot, and edit their films in just one weekend, the Cascade Cinema 60 Hour Challenge showcased the passion and ingenuity of young filmmakers.
