Two TRS College Visits

Two TRS College Visits Made Possible with SVSF Grant

All Two Rivers School (TRS) students had the chance to visit two college campuses this school year, thanks to a $1000 grant from the Snoqualmie Valley Schools Foundation (SVSF).

“At Two Rivers School, one of our key goals is to broaden students’ awareness of future opportunities,” explained Principal Catherine Fredenburg. “During a college visit last year, a student was so inspired that he went home and applied to Western Washington University—where he’s now attending! This outcome wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the SVSD Schools Foundation, which helped spark his vision for the future.”

This year, the students spent the day exploring Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, on October 31; and Green River Community College more recently, on March 6!

Student comments:

  • “I like that we get to explore different universities.”
  • “It is fun to see what a college campus is like. Makes me excited for college!”
