SVSD Music Programs Earn Statewide Recognition
Snoqualmie Valley School District students and staff will be well represented at the 2027 Washington Music Educators Association All-State Music Educators Conference in Yakima this February.
Snoqualmie Elementary Teacher Selected to Conduct All-State Youth Choir
Snoqualmie Elementary music teacher Rachel O’Neill has been selected to conduct the 2027 WMEA Junior All-State Youth Choir.
The ensemble will bring together approximately 150 fifth- and sixth-grade students from across Washington who are selected through recorded auditions. O’Neill will lead the group through rehearsals and a performance on February 13 as part of the WMEA All-State Music Educators Conference in Yakima.
For O’Neill, the invitation is both a personal honor and an opportunity to represent Snoqualmie Elementary and the district’s K-12 music program on a statewide stage.
Mount Si Ensembles Selected to Perform at State Conference
Mount Si High School will also be represented at the conference, with both the Mount Si Percussion Ensemble and Orchestra selected by audition to perform.
The selection gives students from both ensembles the opportunity to showcase their musicianship for music educators and fellow performers from across Washington.
Being invited to perform at the state conference is a significant accomplishment and reflects the preparation, commitment and talent of Mount Si students and their music educators.
Congratulations to Rachel O’Neill and the Mount Si Percussion Ensemble and Orchestra on earning these statewide honors!
