Girls Who Code and Google Inspire Students During Computer Science Education Week Kickoff

To kick off Computer Science Education Week, Mount Si High School’s Girls Who Code club partnered with Google to host a special after-school event celebrating women in technology and opening doors for students interested in computer science.

The event brought students together for an afternoon focused on career pathways, confidence-building, and real-world insight from people working in the tech field.

We are especially grateful to Google for their partnership and for investing time, encouragement, and expertise into our students. Opportunities like this help students see themselves in high-demand fields and build the skills to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

Girls Who Code is an after-school club that provides a welcoming place for students to explore coding, problem-solving, and community. Events like this reinforce the club’s mission while giving students direct access to mentors and role models.
