SVSD School Board Earns State Distinction

Big congratulations to our Snoqualmie Valley School District Board of Directors. WSSDA announced its 2025 Boards of Distinction, and SVSD is among the honored boards recognized statewide for outstanding governance and a strong focus on student success.

This recognition reflects the Board’s detailed and evidence-based application, which highlighted significant progress over the past five years, including its commitment to improving outcomes for multilingual learners, strengthening board governance practices, and expanding family engagement. The application showcased strategic work such as adopting the 2024 to 2029 Strategic Plan, aligning resources with student-success priorities, increasing professional development, and elevating student voice. WSSDA reviewers noted the board’s use of disaggregated data to guide decisions, its clear link between board action and student progress, and its intentional focus on reducing opportunity gaps. This recognition underscores the board’s dedication to purposeful, student-centered governance that supports every learner in Snoqualmie Valley.

This year, 49 school boards across Washington earned the distinction, with Snoqualmie Valley standing alongside districts that are leading the way in effective, student-focused governance.

We’re proud of our board’s dedication to students, families, and the long-term health of our schools. The Board of the Year for each category will be announced at the WSSDA Annual Conference later this month. More information about the 2025 WSSDA Board of Distinction is available on its website.
