AVID Seniors Are Future Ready!

AVID Seniors 2024

Nineteen Mount Si seniors who have been part of the AVID Program were celebrated for their dedication, accomplishments and future college and career plans, in the presence of their family and teachers June 12. AVID, which stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination, is an academic program aimed at equipping students with skills, support and experiences to help them define their future and achieve their goals of attending college after high school graduation.

At AVID Senior Night, Mount Si Language Arts teacher Marcella Murphy proudly introduced the AVID students from the Class of 2024, after serving as their committed advisor for the past four years of high school. She shared some impressive facts and accomplishments (listed below) and presented each graduate with a stunning MSHS AVID medallion, designed and 3-D printed by AVID’s own Jack Greer, for all to proudly wear at graduation on Friday.
