More Achievements and Highlights of 2024

Mount Si High School students, staff and families have much to be proud of this year. Here are just a few significant accomplishments that cover a broad range of subjects:

  • Wildcat athletic programs have excelled, with the girls' cross country and boys' basketball teams both securing State Championships. Additionally, over 25 student-athletes have signed commitments to play at the collegiate level, highlighting their dedication and talent.

  • The performing arts programs have also seen tremendous success. The Jazz Band was selected to perform at the prestigious Hot Java Cool Jazz event at the Paramount Theatre in downtown Seattle, hosted by Starbucks, and earned an invitation to the 78th Annual Midwest Clinic in Chicago. The Large Treble Ensemble choir earned superior ratings at the WIAA State Solo & Ensemble competition, showcasing their exceptional talent and teamwork.

  • Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs at Mount Si High School continue to provide students with meaningful, hands-on experiences. The new school barn has enabled FFA students to work with mini horses and other animals, preparing them for various fairs and potential careers in veterinary sciences. In the first-time Valley Innovation Project (dubbed VIP), students collaborated in groups with community partners like Remlinger Farms and Empower Youth Network to solve real-world problems, then presented their solutions to a panel of judges.

  • Additionally, video production students earned first place at a national film festival; DECA sent 10 students to nationals; 12 students competed in the Washington Career and Technical Sports Medicine Competition; and our culinary students showcased their skills at the state level.

  • Students in the Trades class get real-life experiences as contractors by designing, pricing, and building projects. This year, they built a storage shed for the MSHS Green Team, that was funded with a Snoqualmie Valley Schools Foundation grant.

Mount Si High School’s robust programs and rigorous academic standards create the perfect environment for students to try new things, discover their passions and determine the next steps in their educational journey. This banner year is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and excellence of the entire Mount Si community.
