Tech Hours

 Per language in the SVEA contract, certificated staff are eligible to receive pay at the professional rate for up to 7 hours of technology-related training for the "implementation of District determined technology systems, curriculum, facilities, initiatives and projects related to integrating all aspects of technology into classroom workflow and instruction."  In addition to attending professional development provided by the district (typically available for clock hours in Frontline), certificated staff can seek approval to participate in out-of-district training or to work on an individual or small group project.

Tech hours alternate method form

The form can also be used to request approval for individual or small group self-directed time to count toward the seven optional hours.

Application for approval of alternate methods must be submitted using this form at least ten (10) workdays in advance of the activity for consideration.
