I am happy to be teaching math at Parent Partnership Program this year. In addition, I teach a STEM class for grades 6-8.
We are using Edgenuity online math to allow each student to go at their own pace in their course. I use Google Classroom to post general information for students in my math classes and in my STEM class. This includes class resources and extra links and information. Specific math assignments are in each students Edgenuity account, and I will not usually have homework for the STEM class.
Prior to teaching, I worked as a mechanical engineer at Hewlett Packard / Agilent Technologies. I began teaching in SVSD as a substitute in 2008 and joined Parent Partnership in 2016 and I love the program here! My focus is in math, science (especially physics), and STEM topics such as programming, robotics, and design. I have a BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering from UC San Diego and UC Berkeley.
Outside of school I am a Guide Dogs for the Blind puppy raiser, so I often have a guide dog puppy with me! Pictured with me is Enrique who is now a Guide Dog in Texas.
Feel free to contact me if needed, email is the best way to reach me.
