Meet Principal Megan Botulinski
Hello Eagles! A little about me...I grew up in Leavenworth, graduated from Cascade High School and Gonzaga University, where I majored in Spanish and secondary education. Previously I taught at CKMS, TFMS and MSHS and was the Varsity Girls Basketball Coach, Assistant Track Coach as well as Activities Coordinator at MSHS. I attended the University of Washington for my Masters and Principal Certification (the Danforth Program, 2015 Grad) and served as the Assistant Principal at TFMS from 2014 through 2019. I am currently the Principal at SMS which we re-opened as the 3rd middle school in our distrcit in the fall of 2019.
My husband Steve is a history teacher at MSHS. He is also the Assistant Varsity Football Coach and Head Girls Golf Coach. We have two young children, a boy and a girl. I love the outdoors—hiking, skiing, paddle boarding/kayaking, swimming. I love to travel and am a huge sports fan! (Seahawks Football and Gonzaga Basketball in particular).
Meet Assistant Principal Shawn Lawrence
After graduating from the University of Washington and Seattle Pacific University, I taught French, LA and Social Science at CKMS for 8 years and at TFMS for 7 years. I worked at the SVSD district office for 4 years as the K-12 Literacy Coordinator. I am currently your Assistant Principal at SMS
I have lived in North Bend since 2000. My husband Guy is Australian and is the General Manager at the Summit at Snoqualmie. We have 2 young adult sons; Charlie is an EMT, firefighter and pro ski patrol at the Summit. Alec is a competitve free ride skier and mountain biker and attends MSU. The newest addition to our family is our puppy Eddie 😊
