Eagle Awards

Each quarter the teachers at SMS nominate students they believe reflect our school-wide expectation of "Taking care of self, each other, and this place."  To show pride in our student body, students may receive one of the following award certificates:

Eagle Community Award:  Awarded to students that demonstrate the SMS school-wide expectation of "Taking care of this place."  The staff believes you display responsibility, safety, tolerance and helpfulness.

Eagle Humanity Award:  Awarded to students that demonstrate the SMS school-wide expectation of "Taking care of each other."  The staff believes you display kindness, empathy, respect and compassion for others.

Eagle Scholarship Award:  Awarded to students that demonstrate the SMS school-wide expectation of "Taking care of self."  The staff believes you display hard work, perseverance, dedication, and accountability.

For those students nominated in all three categories above:

Soaring Eagle Award:  Awarded to students that represent all aspects of the SMS school-wide expectation of "Taking care of self, each other, and this place."  The staff believes you serve as an exemplary role model in our school and community.
