Ryan Hill is our Opstad Elementary School Principal. He's been an educator in Snoqualmie Valley Schools for the past 12 years. Mr. Hill spent the first 6 years of his career in the Cle Elum-Roslyn school district serving as a high school science teacher as well as a cross-country, basketball, and track coach.
He came to the district in 2006 to teach science at Mount Si High School. Mr. Hill was an assistant coach for the Mount Si girls basketball team for 5 years. In 2012 he became a technology integration leader and teacher trainer for the district. In 2015-16 Mr. Hill had a dual role, serving as Opstad's assistant principal and the district's Instructional Technology Coordinator. Mr. Hill continues to provide professional development for teachers in Snoqualmie Valley School District as well as neighboring Districts around instructional best practices and the importance of social emotional learning in education.
He earned his Principal Certification through Seattle Pacific University, his master's degree in educational technology from Lesley University in Cambridge, Mass., and a bachelor's degree in biology from Central Washington University. Mr. Hill and his family have lived in North Bend since 2006.
